If you’re heavy into Bluegrass or Traditional Country Music, you may already know that Justin Clark has spent most of his life along the edge of the spotlight, an unpretentious sideman with excellent riffs, reputation, and credentials. To put it mildly, this man knows his stuff. Justin is equally comfortable in a hot jam, being the lead picker onstage or focused in a studio, with an excellent recall of songs across multiple genres. He’s hands-down the MVP at every gig.
Born in Oklahoma City, Justin is a lifelong, third-generation musician and vocalist, adept in playing guitar, mandolin, bass and fiddle. Justin moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee, near Nashville, to pursue a music career in 1994, and hit the ground running. He was welcomed immediately into the Nashville music scene and is still an integral part of that community. Justin’s love for Bluegrass blossomed into a passion for traditional Country Music, so his many talents are well known in multiple music circles.
Justin has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry fifteen times. He’s been spotted in commercials and music videos, goes on tour from time to time, and enjoys local gigs. In 2006, Justin was one of four mandolin players on Jim Lauderdale’s project “Bluegrass” which was nominated that year for Best Bluegrass Album at the Grammy Awards. He has performed with Vassar Clements, Chubby Wise, Doug Dillard, Vic Jordan, Dierks Bentley, Jim Lauderdale, Sammy Kershaw, SHeDAISY, Mark Wills, James Monroe, Jamie O’neal , Paul Brant, Josh Graves, Steve n’ Seagulls and many others.
Justin is still composing, performing and recording music. Stay tuned for more…..
